Classified Advertising
Classified ads are placed as line ads near the back of the magazine.
PRICE
Classified ads are accepted for $18 per line based on a 60 character line justified,
including spaces and punctuation. Minimal charge is $50.
Price includes the ad running on our web site and in the next issue of the Journal.
You may elect to have the ad not run on one or the other; there is no effect on the price.

DEADLINES
To make the monthly publication of the magazine, an ad must be to us no
later than 5 p.m. on the tenth of the month prior to the month of publication.
All issues are scheduled for mailing by the first day of the month of publication.
For example, the deadline for the February issue, scheduled for mailing on February 1,
is January 10. There is no deadline for the web site. In most instances, your ad will
be posted on the web almost immediately after you have given us your final approval.
If your ad is posted on the web site prior to the first of the month you may be
billed for a "web-only" ad that month.
HOW TO SUBMIT A CLASSIFIED AD
The best way is by email to ads@fwrj.com.
Email gets your ad on our web site faster and prevents our introducing
typographical errors. You can paste it into the body of the email message
or attach as a document. If you send it as an attachment, please use Microsoft Word.
Second choice is by fax to 352-241-6007. Regular mail is not recommended
because of our tight deadlines.
PROOFS
For an email submittal, unless you give prior approval in your initial submittal,
we will email back to you the exact cost of the ad. Then, upon receipt of your email
approving the cost, we will post the ad on our Web site, schedule it for the next
publication, and prepare an invoice. For a fax submittal , we will fax back both
the cost and a proof copy. Upon receipt of your approval of the cost and the proof,
we will post the ad on our Web site, schedule it for the next publication, and
prepare an invoice.
INVOICES
When the ad is placed on our Web site, we will mail an invoice to you. Then, when
the magazine is mailed at about the first of the following month, we will mail a copy
of the invoice along with a tear sheet.
PURCHASE ORDERS
We do not require purchase orders. If you require us to put a purchase order number
on the invoice, please provide it at the time you place the ad.
PREPAYMENT
Prepayment is required of parties that do not have a credit history with us or who have a
poor credit history with us. For established customers and government agencies we will
invoice after publication.
TYPES OF ADS WE ACCEPT
Classifications accepted include Positions Available, Positions Wanted, Items Wanted
to Sell or Buy, and Notices, and most anything having to do with the water/wastewater/water
resources industry. We cannot accept ads that are unrelated to the industry.
ERRORS AND OMISSIONS
In the event of an error that is clearly our responsibility and that causes
detriment to the image of the advertiser or to the sales of the product or
service being advertised, not including minor typographical errors, we will
rerun the ad or credit the advertiser with a reasonable portion of the ad cost.
We cannot assume responsibility, however, when ad copy or changes are given orally.
We typeset classified ads exactly as submitted to us (except that ads submitted in
all upper case are typeset in lower case) and correct only obvious errors in spelling,
grammar, and punctuation.
EXTRA CHARGES
There is no charge for such features as bold type, italics, or uppercase for key words,
if requested (however, we cannot guarantee the honoring of such requests). There is
no charge for typesetting. We will include your logo on the web site, if you can
provide a usable electronic copy, for the cost of the equivalent number of lines.
CANCELLATIONS
We cannot cancel an invoice once an ad has been placed on our Web site. You may
have us remove the ad from the Web site at any time, and, if you let us know by
the tenth of the previous month, you may have us delete it from the next paper publication.
POSITIONS WANTED ADS
Persons seeking jobs in Florida's water and wastewater are welcome to submit brief
classified ads. They will be run one time at no charge and are subject to editing.
