Lee County Utilities - Class A Water Treatment Operator
Lee County Utilities is seeking a Florida State DEP issued Class A Water Treatment Licensed individual to manage our water treatment facility. Only individuals possessing this licensure can be considered.
This is advanced technical and supervisory work in planning and directing the functions of a water treatment plant and staff.
Employees in this class oversee daily routine operations and maintenance and are responsible for the facility's operational budget. Incumbents exercise considerable initiative and independent judgment. Monitors, maintains and requests chemicals for water treatment and lab analysis. Operates and maintains electric motors, pumps and valves to ensure proper regulation of flows for water. Inspects machinery to detect malfunctions of plant or equipment and initiates corrective measures. Logs procedures and ensures proper utilization of policies and standards according to federal, state and local regulations. Ensures that the plant is in compliance with all applicable local, state and federal regulations at all times. Assures the plant is in compliance with all applicable safety regulations. Compiles and submits reports to regulatory agencies. Responsible for proper operation and maintenance of all outlying facilities.
