Lead Water Supply Project Manager The South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) is a regional agency of the state and is charged with managing and protecting water resources of the region by balancing and improving water quality, flood control, natural systems and water supply. SFWMD's boundaries extend from central Florida to Lake Okeechobee, and from coast to coast, from Fort Myers to Fort Pierce, south through the sprawling Everglades to the Florida Keys and Florida Bay. Lead position in the Water Supply Implementation Division whose responsibilities include managing and facilitating innovative and complex alternative water resource and supply projects, such as desalination, water reuse and regional water availability. Involves extensive coordination and facilitation with internal and external stakeholders and water users. Requires experience in working with water and/or wastewater entities, knowledge of water policies and regulations in Florida, familiarity with utilities in the SFWMD region; experience in facilitation and managing high profile complex projects, and advanced knowledge of alternative water supply development techniques. Ability to plan, manage and coordinate projects and contracts; meet deadlines; and prepare budgets, project schedules and staffing requirements. Must be able to document technical information for general audience, and acts as technical expert in public forums. BS in Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science or related field with 6+ years qualifying experience. Florida PE, PG, or PMP preferred. Florida Driver's license.
